Custom skillion shelter for Melbourne Park
As the sausage sizzle and the onions fry, the park chefs can enjoy relatively smoke-free air thanks to the simple addition to this three-bay custom-made shelter in Ferntree Gully.
Hardwood roof battens cover the end bay of this 60-square metre skillion-roof shelter installed in Fairpark, overlooking a children’s playground.
Smoke from the barbecue can pass through the batons, while Stratco Superdeck roof sheeting give shelter to the other two bays which host picnic settings.
Landmark designed the shelter which feature bolt-down posts, hot-dipped galvanised roof frame and posts and guttering and rain chain. The issuing of a Certificate of Compliance (Design) was also coordinated by Landmark through consulting engineers.
With the shelter delivered in kit-form with installation instructions, the shelter was installed quickly and within minimal site or neighbourhood disturbance – no noisy cutting tools required.
