The contemporary Byron shelters suit this college
As a relatively young school, Rivermount College, its facilities are modern and fresh. The college promotes its facilities as providing a tranquil environment where teaching and learning facilities are blended in the natural beauty of the landscape.
It was therefore no surprise that College administrators chose contemporary designs when seeking to provide more shaded spaces for their college community. Landmark’s Byron shelter series, which feature a “wave” roof, compliment the college’s architecture and landscape design perfectly.
Landmark designed, built and installed five outdoor learning structures, providing a extra of 175 square metres of shade in total.
Four 3.8m x 4.3m Byron shelters with bolt-down posts were installed, providing shade for picnic settings and a barbecue/park kitchen which the school built around the shelter.
A striking combination shelter, consisting of three Byron shelters joined together to form a visually appealing and symmetrical roof line is the centre piece of the additions to the college grounds. It provides over 100 square metres of extra shade – a versatile space that can easily accommodate up to six portable picnic tables if required.
