Bridges are vital for Australia’s largest residential estate
The foot traffic using two new pedestrian bridges installed by Landmark in Australia’s largest master planned community is sure to spike in the future.
It is planned that over 20,000 new homes will be built on the 24 square kilometer site of Aura, just north of Brisbane, over the next 30 years. Currently Aura is welcoming around 10 new families to the estate a week.
The two steel I-beam bridges (Condamine Series) are located near sporting facilities, blending in perfectly with the estate, with discreet use of steel and durable stained hardwood timber decking.
Over the last 30 years, Landmark Products have manufactured and installed literally hundreds of such bridges across Australia, in all types of environments.
In this case, one bridge is 14 metres long with a 3.0 metre clear width, the other 14.5 metres long with a 2.0 metre clear width. Both have steel joists, baluster posts, balustrade panels, and bike rails.
The bridges were delivered in kit-form, assembled on site, and then lifted into place by a crane. The Landmark team managed the entire installation process, including installation of the wing walls.
Demonstrating Landmark’s full product offering, a Landmark restroom and park seating are in close proximity to the bridges (see below).
